I'm sure we've all come across some form of animal abuse on this here internet. I've heard terrible stories from a good number of you about videos you've wandered across, or websites you've seen that have horrified you.

Don't just sit back and hope someone else will deal with it!
There are ways that YOU can help!

Firstly, if you are absolutely certain that an act of unlawful animal cruelty has occurred, do NOT comment on the video, image, website, etc. Do not "flag" or report the media to the webhost, either. Commenting and flagging gives the uploader a chance to "get away" before a legitimate animal cruelty report can be made. In order to ensure the greatest chance that the individuals who have committed the crime will be dealt with on a legal level, you must contact the FBI directly.

Here is a link to guide you through that process: www.americanhumane.org/animals…
...It may seem intimidating, but if I can do it (and now I have!) I have faith that you can, too.

And though I hate to bring up the name, PETA will also investigate these websites and videos, and do the "dirty work" for you, if you don't have the confidence to report it yourself: www.peta.org/action/get-active…

...you all know how I feel about PETA, but no one can deny that they have actually "gotten things done" when it comes to legitimate cases of unlawful animal cruelty in the past. Plus, this gives you some "padding" between you and the FBI, which I know might give you more confidence in reporting an issue. Sometimes, you have to put your grudges aside, especially if it's for a good cause.

...And now you know, and knowing is half the battle! *Pokes Tasogares-Target*

So next time you encounter a horrific case of animal cruelty, please, for the sake of the animals, do not comment, do not flag it, REPORT IT!

*Shivers* I know I've seen some horrid things, and I thank you for posting this. Videos of cruelty piss me off...and quite possibly scar my brain.
