You know these people.  "Japan isn't that great." "Wolves aren't that cool." "Yaoi sucks." "(Popular thing) is overrated!" Etc.  People who express these opinions loudly, not just because they feel that way, but out of spite for the people who do like these things.

When dealing with them, remember this - a person who tries to bring you down for simply enjoying something is usually just attempting to prove that they are a better, more sophisticated person than you are.  And in that very act is the proof that they aren't nearly as sophisticated and mature as they wish they were.

So fuck 'em.  Like what you like, and don't change under pressure.  Because in my eyes, giving up something you like just because it makes you look like a stereotype is weak - holding on to it and proving you're more than that is strong.

Honestly, I can pick people like that apart. Actions like that stem from lack of self-esteem and respect. So in order to feel better they try to provoke others or knock them down a notch. It's all really predictable :/

I never thought of it that way, but it would fit right in with the way that I always thought they seemed to be. x3

I remember a teen summer camp I went to when I was 14. Some little punk-ass b**** named Aaron was ALWAYS trying to pick a fight with me. I cannot remember a day where I didn't want to punch his face in and then stomp his nuts xD
Seriously, I had more than several inches on this kid, and he was acting like he was in control. I told him off once and he just got even more pissed off. Here I am thinking, "You little prick, the size difference is obvious enough, you are lucky I can control my temper or you would have your ass flat on the ground.
Seriously, he and his little buddy were badasses when none of the counselors were around. But if I even SAID anything close to a vulgarity, they ran to the counselors to tattle. Sometimes I regret not punching their lights out xD
I may have gotten kicked out of camp, but they needed to be taught a lesson.

I don't really care.
My guess is being a pain in the ass, not very useful. Proooobably on his way to jail. Lmao, I know that's just awful of me to say, but you had to see him for yourself to get my point of view!

:P sorry but WoW will never be a cool game...The artwork and concept artwork is pretty but that's about it. The game steals lives and I know a bunch of people who are living on the edge of being broke most of the time (or living with their parents in their mid-late 20's) and complain about not having enough money YET still manage to pay for game time. *eyeroll*

LOL Well that was pretty random, but I have to agree on the idea that it can be a tad on the unhealthy side. I played it for a week straight -- barely sleeping, and the only other thing I did was go to work. The rest of the time I was a zombie. That was my first week, and after that I decided my life would be pretty bleak if I kept it up, so I quit. Cold turkey, never looked back.

Games like that are fun and engrossing, but they can be dangerous if the wrong person is playing them. I've seen WoW ruin lives. x3

I'll admit, though, that I still love Final Fantasy XI, even if it's the same kind of thing - the difference is, I can walk away from FFXI and not feel the NEED to sit there all day. I'mnot sure why - it may be slightly more boring? I dunno. xD But it's not as addicting.

The internet did that to me way back when...like 1999/2000 when I frequented yahoo chatrooms...4-5am bedtime, wake up about 7-7:30am go to school. Zombie my way through. It totally screwed up my sleeping abilities XD;

Addictive games depends on the personality I guess.

D8! Have you seen the video of the boy who had his WoW account cancelled by his Mum, his brother put a video camera in his room. This kids (teen) had a MAJOR sad @_@...For me WoW seems way too toony so I won't even touch it :\....Rather spend my time playing Mass Effect and Bulletstorm XD;

LOL I've seen bits of that video before. Is that REAL?! That kid has a problem, seriously. If his mom actually cancelled his account...that may be a good thing... x3
