Video games have made me sexist, I think.Haha, sequel to that "Vagina haters" journal from before, I guess.
I have noticed that a lot of people hate on Kairi from Kingdom Hearts because she is presented as the "damsel in distress". It's almost always girls who have this opinion, and they almost make me feel guilty for never really having thought of it that way, or for never being offended by it.
But the truth is, gaming for 20+ straight years has sort of programmed me to assume that most times, the female character your character interacts with IS a damsel in distress, and without her, there'd be no game to play. A damsel in distress is key to a lot of games. It's the reason I DO stuff.
Mario, Zelda, Dragon Quest...there's always a girl you have to save. And you usually marry her at the end, or she kisses you, or gives you a cake or something like that. Mission accomplished. That's never the REAL point of the game, the REAL point is trying not to die and having fun. But you need a reason to get from point A to p

omfg I love KH:3DSYeah I'm at like the first world (actually the second, I skipped the first, oops) and I already know this is like...probably my favorite Kingdom Hearts since the first.
I don't even know what the story is this time.
Something about...Yen Sid...blah blah blah I have a keyblade...blah blah blah Riku's haircut sucks.
So why do I like it so much?
Well, for one thing, I love virtual pets.
Ever since I got my first Tamagotchi in '97, I've been obsessed with the idea of raising and caring for electronic pets. I get very attached to them, too. I name them. I love them. Not as much as my real pets by a long shot, but a great deal more than I probably should.
And for another thing, I love Sora. He's one of my favorite video game characters, which is QUITE a feat for him, trust me. I see a lot of me in him - we're both a little on the stupid side, definitely a wee bit naive, and I also grew up on a beach (technically, an island, actually!) xD
And now Sora has virtual pets.

So I was just stopped by a cop....I wasn't driving. I was walking. He drives up, rolls down the window, and says something I don't quite hear. I say hello. He repeats it. "How old are you?"
I'm in shock. I ask, "How OLD am I?"
"Yes."
"I'm 29!!" (I'm sure I sounded incredulous.)
He stares.
I say, "I have my license if you want to see it." He wants to see it so I give it to him. He looks and hands it back.
He thought I was a highschool truant.
The moral of the story is that I should stop wearing clothing a teenager might wear because as I continue to get older and not to age it will become more and more unbelievable that I am as old as I say I am and I don't look forward to being driven in the back of a police car to the nearest high school, in tears BECAUSE I HAVE ALREADY DONE MY TIME!

Back to stroking myself againHi there boys and girls, its a me OmuRyce covered and poured with demiglace sauce on top. If you have been to my main page before and browsed around, then you might've come across a counter that says how many times Ry has been stroked, there's also a button underneath that says if you stroke Ry it would make him feel good, last time I checked it was close to a 1000 strokes. Well I am sorry to say but that counter is no longer available.

Well somebody just beat KH:3DS.....Oh god. Oh god oh god oh god oh god.

Ok here's the breakdown of my relationship with this game. It's almost identical, by the way, to my relationship with the original Kingdom Hearts.
Begining: Wow this game's pretty cool! It's fun...it's pretty...Sora's in it...there are Pokeymans...this is GREAT!
Late middle: ...God, whoever wrote this story should be shot. Really. This is ruining my playing experience. I hate this game, and I never want to see it, or another Kingdom Hearts, ever again. I should never have played past game 1, this series is a pile of nonsensical garbage, I hate Tetsuya Nomura.
End: OMFG I LOVE KINGDOM HEARTS
Oh my god I love Sora.
I hate the main story of this series, I'll admit that. It really, really, really makes me want to punch a wall and never play Kingdom Hearts again.

good news, everyone XDyesh, I has some "SPIKE" updates..

I just wanted to tell you that I've finally finished planning pretty much the rest of the story! From the mid part and onwards to the ending. I wrote 7 pages of summary yesterday, and today I've just written 4 pages of a new chapter!

I know these news must torment some of you, since I don't post more chapters here.. And I'm really sorry.. BUT - this means I will be finishing "SPIKE" faster than I'd first expected!

I'm hoping I'll have the whole thing done and edited by the summer, 2012, and then I'll send it to some publishers!
I kind of want to send it to some English-speaking publishers now, or soon, like, send off a few chapters and hear what they think. Because translating it to Norwegian just...it... argh, it's difficult because I can't "hear" my characters speaking Norwegian so writing them in Norwegian just doesn't feel right at all...
Do you have any suggestions for good publishers I could send some chapters to? And what makes you s
