COMFORT MEEEEE

So I'm laying here all cozy and ready for bed, and reading some H.P. Lovecraft stuff, and suddenly there's a flash of light and a HORRIBLE, deafening sound, of clearly some kind of STRONG electricity right outside my damned window. It goes on for what seems like forever, and I'm just terrified, thinking, my AC unit is being struck by lightning, what do I do? So it stops, and I see sparks and embers through the window, and the power goes out. And I'm terrified as shit, because, well, wtf just happened and also now I'm in the dark with a Lovecraft book. After a few seconds the power comes back on, and I meander downstairs trying not to completely panic, and I wake up my brother, and my mom's boyfriend comes up from the basement where he sleeps, and he tells me it was a transformer that blew up and everything's OK.

I'm not sure what a transformer is (aside from the cars that turn into robots), but I think those are the squareish things on the ground, aren't they? But this was DEFINITELY the pole outside of my house, just outside of my window, which has been sparking and acting up for weeks, but PSE&G came, looked at it, shrugged, and left.

Well, I guess it finally decided to explode.

Did it have to be while I was reading creepy ass stories? Really?

Anyway I'm going to try to go to sleep again now. 
That shit is right outside of my window.

If it happens again I might have a heart attack and die ok
