Yuffie Yuffie Yuffie

I did sketches of Yuffie today. I want to draw something Yuffie/Vincent, but first I need to know how to draw them. xD

With humans, I have a lot of trouble determining what makes one face different from another. For example, what specifically makes Tifa's face different from Yuffie's? I always need to rely on hairstyles/outfits so people can know who's who when I draw them... But that bothers me, so I decided to work on it. The whole time sketching these, I thought to myself, what about Yuffie's face makes Yuffie Yuffie? One thing, her pupils are always somewhat small, and don't get usually get overlapped by her eyelids (like Tifa's and Cloud's), so her eyes always look wide open with energy, even though her eye shape is thinner than Tifa or Aerith [Cuz she's from Wutai]. Also, her chin is short/abrupt, which helps make her look younger than the other girls. And her cheeks are chubbier than Tifa's xD

This is based on 3D models/stills from Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus. I did draw more than these but eh. Not show-worthy.

If there's one thing I've learned at my job, it's...if you don't want to draw something...draw it anyway [with reference]. In fact, FIND THINGS you don't like to draw, and make yourself draw them. It exercises your artbrain or whatever it is that you draw with in ways that you'll never do if you only draw what you like to draw. And then, when you go back to draw something you like to draw? You'll be a little bit better at that, too. It's like MAGIC. x3 YES IT SUCKS TO DRAW THINGS YOU HATE, AND IT MIGHT LOOK LIKE CRAP, but in a year or two, you'll be thankful you did.

I found some of my art yesterday from years ago. FFIX fanart and stuff. SOOOOOO BADDDDD!!! xD I'll post it soon.
