Ray Stantz as a Care Bear (AKA The 80's.jpg)

This monstrosity started as a warm-up sketch/doodle suggestion from CatFromDream on my Patreon, but it got a great response from friends, and I liked it myself, so I was considering finishing it. Then my buddy gato303co commented that he was sad he couldn't favorite the sketch in my stash...and I thought, I didn't want a sketch in my gallery (since I've been doing so well posting so much finished artwork to it, now!), so my other option was...to finish this sketch!

But I spent way too much time on this, in the end. xD I fixed the not-referenced ghost trap, which took hours (you can see the horrifying .PSD version that has every step of the madness in it, for a pledge of $5/month on my Patreon, if you like!), I made a background and learned about making radial rainbows in Photoshop (COOL), and I pained myself trying to figure out that "sparking" effect on the trap. BUT! For all the pain this caused me, I think it looks pretty damned good, and shows I'm definitely improving, so in the end, I'm shaky, far too caffeinated (DAMN YOU, SUNKIST, THE ONLY ORANGE SODA WITH CAFFEINE!! YOU TRICKSTER), and starving almost to the point of fainting but IT IS DONE. YAY

Usually my art is posted 3 days earlier on my Patreon, but I'll make an exception for this one because I'd like Gato to be able to favorite it!

I don't think I like his tummy symbol, but I also didn't want to tweak it for three more hours, so it is what it is. xD It's his Dopey Dog, showing his child-like side, and some tools, to show his mechanical side.

His design is a mix of The Real Ghostbusters (the red hair) and the original film (heterochromatic eyes!).
I love Ray's eyes so much you do not even know.

And NO, before you ask, I don't plan to do the other three boys this way. POSSIBLY. Pooooossibly after I'm done with the doggos, but that's a rough "possibly".  This was just a fun one-off. xD

What do you guys think his "Care Bear" name would be...?
