Hey guys! I just got word from my buddy ~
Eddz that he and ~
pikatoad have been been working on a new art community site called Anipan.
Here's the info, straight from him - because I'm awful at paraphrasing. x3
"We're aiming to put the emphasis back on displaying your artwork beautifully, something that should be extremely important to an art community but has become seemingly forgotten over time. To do this, we have been exploring new and unique ways for people to view and interact with artwork, making the experience a lot more realistic and engaging as if you were looking at artwork from a gallery, in-person. (There is a video of this in action on our campaign page, which I'll include a link for below!)
We're both artists and art admirers, so we're hoping that our new take on an art community will inspire creativity in everybody.
Right now, we're trying to crowd fund/kick-start it. This will help to keep the site independent from shareholders and hierarchy (something that other art communities have so far been unable to avoid), and help to realise our shared dream of creating a utopia for artists!
Our campaign can be found at indiegogo.com/anipan.
We only have 4 days left at the moment, and we still have a way to go. So if you like the look of what we're up to, please consider pledging, and spreading the word to people who you think might like to be a part of this when we launch! If you are able to do so, it would be a tremendous help and very much appreciated by the two of us!"This project sounds promising, and I am hoping they make their goal.
Oh, and as a final note, if you contribute $10, you get a month of premium "Super" status, not sure what that means just yet, but that's what I went for. Why not? x3
Good luck, to Anipan!
